Bathrobe itself is very simple, long or short, Kimono collar or shawl collar, but the fabric used for bathrobes are in a broad spectrum.
First of all is 100% cotton terry cloth which has terry on both sides, it usually is woven fabric , weight or thickness range from 350~500gsm. This type bathrobes are generally plain dyed.
The second is 100% cotton terry velour fabric which has terry on only one side, the other side’s terry was sheared and looks flat and smooth. It’s weight or thickness range from 300~420 GSM, and besides plain dyed velour there is reactive printed velour.
The third is 100% cotton waffle and microfiber waffle. Microfiber is cheaper than cotton, microfiber waffle bathrobes easily to dry.
And the Forth is the hybrid of waffle and terry cloth or waffle and terry velour, it is one layer, 1 ply. Cover is waffle fabric, inner side has terry or terry velour. It’s weight spectrum is 380~480 GSM.
The Sixth is double layers fabric, cover is satin and inner is terry cloth or terry velour. The terry cloth may be knitted or woven.
The last comes the microfiber coral fleece , very soft, and has amazing thermal capability. Especially in the winder, the cotton bathrobe is cold before you wear on but the fleece bathrobe always keep warm. The plain dyed coral fleece is overwhelming too.
